a new kind of SETI
language is one of the evolutionary developments that launched humans from being an animal to being a civilization. universal access to universal communication will be a transcendent event.

in our first post
we introduced the idea and inspiration driving BABELANG. in this one, we will dive into how we plan to investigate otherworldly communication and hopefully gain the knowledge needed to build a universal communication platform.
our research will be divided into three primary phases, organized by specific hypotheses that we need to build knowledge around in order to create a functional communication system.
we feel before we speak ~ PHASE I
otherworldly communication operates as a kind of 'para-language'; it is semantic but not lexical
as previously discussed, we believe that communication with otherworldly instantiations is an internal, emotional phenomenon. this means that we cannot directly measure it because the experience is entirely subjective. what we can do is try to systematize the subjective qualities of these experiences. what does one feel during such communication? warmth, connection, love... at a high level; we want to name the ups and downs of these feelings as the experience changes from second to second and understand them qualitatively. this will allow us to begin defining the relationships between emotional signals and semantic meaning.
the noise is the signal ~ PHASE II
if there are semantic qualities to the waves of feeling associated with otherworldly communication, then we can begin to map them to human lexicon
once we understand the diversity of para-language experiences, we can begin to map them to a vocabulary and understand the grammar of otherworldly communications. we anticipate there may be a large variety of otherworldly "languages", so to speak, with their own grammar and ways of conveying meaning, so extensive research is needed during Phase 1 before we can move onto Phase 2 – we still have day jobs keeping us from the important work. we will need your help to reach this point. if you would like to participate in our research, please consider signing up for our newsletter. we will be sharing our first survey soon!
the accessible universe ~ PHASE III
a low-energy medium will enable universal communication
language is one of the evolutionary developments that launched humans from being an animal to being a civilization. universal access to universal communication will be a transcendent event. we will no longer be confined to a single frame of reference. any sentient being in the universe will be able to communicate with any other sentient being.
at this point, we are several layers of assumptions away from what we presently know, so this is naturally the most speculative hypothesis. we anticipate that low-energy oscillations are the key to enabling universal communication. instant communication, anywhere, with anyone and anything. why?
whether otherworldly beings visit from beyond the solar system, another dimension, the spirit world, or consciousness itself, all would seem to occur through low-energy, as of yet undetectable means. the most documented UFO sightings describe objects as seeming to lack a propulsion system that operates within the realm of known physics. physicists know a lot about physics! but there are knowledge gaps at the extremes, particularly regarding very low-energy fields. one way to investigate low-energy fields is to cool things down to near-zero degrees, where motion – and time – slows to a stop. we don't have the equipment or resources to do that, unfortunately.
fortunately, there is another place one may find low-energy fields: crystals! rest assured: we will have much to discuss regarding crystals in future posts.
up next ...
in our next post, will be discussing some of the methods and tools people use to communicate with otherworldly beings and look within them for clues on how to transform feelings into information.
THE BABELANG FOUNDATION is an independent research effort and we cannot do this alone! our evolution into the greater universe will require cooperation and collaboration.
